WordPress Spam

Are you tired of WordPress Spam? The links, the little blue pills, the offers, arggh! It just makes you want to stop. After all, you chose WordPress for your website platform so that you can interact with your customers.

I think we have tried just about every paid and/or free plugin that was recommended. Even some paid features from Automattic (makers of WordPress) just didn’t quite cut it. We have tried CAPTCHA algorithms, honeypots, and waving incense over the servers (just kidding, my technical guy would not be happy!)

The Solution to WordPress Spam

For the past eight months, we have been using CleanTalk Cloud Spam Protection. We did a trial, then immediately saw the results we were looking for and purchased the product. Our WordPress Spam literally disappeared! You can look at a sampling of our report for this week.

SpamLog

In the past year, since we first installed CleanTalk, over 100,000 spam attacks were blocked. We were stunned! We will continue to use this product!

Easy Installation

Register for an account on the CleanTalk site. Download and install the plugin. Activate the plugin and enter your credentials. It’s that simple!Basic service costs about $9/year. You have the option of adding in their security firewall as well. We’ll take a closer look at that some other time.

Conclusion

We have no complaints about CleanTalk and its ability to fight WordPress Spam. It has done a much better job than Akismet ever did at a fraction of the cost. Our readers like being able to comment without that annoying “are you human” test. Setup was easy. Not only does this work with comment forms, but also with sign-up and registration forms. We highly recommend this product!  and it won’t keep you up at night!
